The department of Labor recently ruled that employers must notify their employees about their ability to participate in the Health Insurance Marketplace, commonly referred to as the Health Insurance Exchanges, by October 1, 2013. Employees who are hired after October 1, 2013 must be provided this notice within 14 days of their start date. Model notifications have been produced by the Department of Labor to provide to your employees.
